Location: Dallas, TX SW477 Research and develop advanced multimedia technologies on platforms that run on embedded devices. This platform utilizes optimized multimedia algorithms taking into consideration human and user interactivity. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to successfully take the software through the entire development cycle. This is an R&D group developing new innovative, cutting edge solutions to the marketplace. You will have the opportunity to become intimately involved in creating new consumer products. • M.S. degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience desired.
• Experience in several software projects from design through delivery; demonstrated design skills; proficient C and C++ coding and debugging skills, good problem solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical analysis for system performance, and the ability to improve performance-driven design.
• Strong knowledge of 2D/3D Computer Graphics theory, 3D geometric modeling and realistic rendering technology.
• Familiar with OpenGL, DirectX, OpenGL | ES, OpenVG and SVG.
• Extensive experience of designing and developing graphics software system and/or graphics hardware architecture.
Experience of designing high-performance and/or photo-realistic rendering algorithms.
• Record of architecting and/or leading middleware projects based on the technologies

Desired:

• Knowledge of Human-Computer Interaction and Virtual Reality technology.
• Knowledge and experience of Image Processing theory and algorithms.
• Knowledge and experience of video compressing, transmission and rendering system and techniques. Familiar with video/audio streaming, and MPEG4, H.264 standards.
• Familiar with TrueType fonts, iType and Freetype engine is a plus.
• Knowledge of markup languages and data transport protocols, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WML, XHTML, DHTML, XML, SVG, TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL

Salary: $80K - 120K + Bonus (up to 25%) Relocation: Assistance provided.
