brainstorming about an improved(?) SVG.org (IMHO)

First: overall i like svg.org quite a bit, some things annoy me though, and i think it could be more lively, therefore my ideas for the LazyWeb:

-Make it look REALLY good. Less secondary text. Layout changes. Different font settings maybe.
(SVG) images !!

-Better connect with the rest of the (SVG) web:
News:
"Agenda" (when is svgopen, MoMo, etc), "News" (like current FrontPage, but with Digg, delicious, etc buttons), have "blogs" (which are the svg.org diaries and SVG tagged bits from selected blogs around the blogosphere) and "dump" (which is a general blogsearch on the subject (e.g. Google), so includes spam, chinese, SVG haters and stuff that is just not interesting)
Help:
"Tools" for on-line things like specifications, validators, etc. ,"Wiki" with latest changes on top, "Search+" having general search, code search, etc, "list" going straight to svg-developers.com and just maybe (for members only?) a web-interface to IRC called "chat"
Enjoy:
"games", "mobiles", "eye-candy" (wallpapers, animations, icons, screensavers, etc), "dump" (newest SVG files on the web)
And of course "Links"

Just comment below if you want ideas explained, explain me why my ideas suck, or take on any of the tasks.

IMHO, svg.org would benefits users a lot if have better comment parser. Currently it is very hard to create stories or comments using nicely formated tag.

I do not know it is happen only in me or other as well, I always find it very difficult to create a story or post a comment. It always spit <p> problem :)

A resources section with tested tools and user comments on these tools would be nice, so also a newbie can work faster with these tools....

I agree, I think a site redesign is in order. Maybe some more interactive features to get "Us all" talking a little more too. A resources section would be great. Who doesn't like eye candy? Dave Davis

it keeps people from taking part, but of course there are also the spammers ...

People can vote up content they think is important to have working correctly in viewers
