The Mozilla Corporation just released the first Firefox 2.0 beta, the upcoming upgrade to the popular Firefox browser. This release is mostly intended to be focused security and user interface, with new anti-phishing features and enhancement to tab browsing. However, the Gecko web page rendering component has a few upgrades too, and now the SVG
<textPath> is supported. The next major Firefox release, Firefox 3.0, codename Minefield, will usher in more critical updates to the SVG support.
