Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to the questions most frequently asked and comments most frequently made about this site:
This site's XHTML pages claim to be XHTML 1.0 Strict and yet fail to validate.
That is a known fact and currently only the index page and a few other static pages are fully standards compliant. While Scoop, the publishing system this site is built upon, offers quite a few output code customization options, there remains some shady areas where the HTML (Transitional 4.0) output is located within some of the Scoop code's internals. In the spirit of getting the site out as soon as possible, I customized as many pages as possible through the templating system and mde them XHTML 1.0 Strict. As times goes by, either code internals will be hacked so that XHTML 1.0 Strict code is output or the site will be upgraded to a version of Scoop that will allow for further customization. Meanwhile, this website is functional and works in all browsers it has been tested on: Internet Explorer 6 on Windows, Internet Explorer 5.2 on Mac OS X, Firefox 1.0 on Mac OS X, Windows and some Linux flavors and Safari on Mac OS X.
Another thing to keep in mind is that a fair ammount of this site's content is written and published by community members. If stories are posted in broken (X)HTML, then the pages containing those stories will also be invalid. This will be hard to correct.
